Charleston Yacht Solutions was created by Lauren Hamm and her husband Filipe Goncalves. They have more than 25 years combined experience in the yachting industry. Filipe was born and raised in the Azores, and he started sailing at the age of 5. He became a professional yacht captain in 2007 and since then he has been working on the sea. Lauren was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, and started sailing at the age of 7. They met in 2015 in the Caribbean, both working as Captains and decided to create a career together.
From their many years of experience working on yachts and working with other yacht agencies, they have decided to take their knowledge and help other yachts with the things they found most helpful from agencies.

2 years ago we opened a Yacht Agency in Horta, Azores. We have had such success and support with that business that we have decided to connect both sides of the Atlantic and open up an Agency in Charleston!
